- MaxiNOs® (500mg): A blend of Curcuma longa and Cissus quadrangularis from Laila Nutraceuticals. In a 42-day double-blind, placebo-controlled study of physically active, overweight adults aged 30 to 65, 375mg and 750mg a day improved flow-mediated dilation, a standard measure of how well arteries widen with blood flow, compared with placebo.
- BacoZest® (300mg): A de-bittered Bacopa monnieri extract.
- Citrulline Malate (8g): Supports nitric oxide production. Pooled research at 6 to 8g found about three more reps to failure than placebo, a small effect.
- Beta-Alanine (3.2g): Raises muscle carnosine over several weeks to buffer acid buildup in hard efforts. The tingling you may feel is normal.
- Betaine (2g): Rounds out the performance side.
- Stimulants per scoop: 250mg of natural caffeine and 200mg of Citrus aurantium standardized to 10% synephrine, paired with 150mg of L-Theanine.
- Also included: Taurine, L-Tyrosine, L-Phenylalanine, Acetyl L-Carnitine, Grape Seed Extract, and B vitamins.
One scoop in water. Start with half a scoop to see how you tolerate it. Available in Rocket Pop and Peach.
Take 15 to 30 minutes before training. Avoid late-day use, and don't stack with coffee, energy drinks, or other stimulants. Beta-Alanine works by building up over weeks, so daily use matters more than timing.
- Acute Effect of Citrulline Malate on Repetition Performance During Strength Training: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism, 2021. Citrulline malate taken before training added about 3 repetitions to failure, a 6.4 percent increase over placebo, a small effect size of 0.196. Dose studied: 6 to 8 g citrulline malate taken 40 to 60 minutes before exercise, single acute dose. - Effect of Citrulline on Post-Exercise Rating of Perceived Exertion, Muscle Soreness, and Blood Lactate Levels: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Journal of Sport and Health Science, 2020. Pooled across 13 trials, citrulline lowered post-exercise rating of perceived exertion (effect size 0.81) and muscle soreness at 24 hours (effect size 0.99), with no effect at 72 hours and none on blood lactate. Dose studied: Most common dose 8 g citrulline malate within 2 hours before exercise. Citrulline malate ranged 6 g to 12 g, L-citrulline 3 g to 6 g. - International Society of Sports Nutrition Position Stand: Beta-Alanine
Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2015. The ISSN concludes that 4 to 6 g of beta-alanine daily for at least two to four weeks raises muscle carnosine and improves exercise performance, with the clearest effects in open end-point tasks lasting 1 to 4 minutes. Dose studied: 4 to 6 g per day for at least two to four weeks. - Beta-Alanine Supplementation to Improve Exercise Capacity and Performance: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
British Journal of Sports Medicine, 2017. Across 40 placebo-controlled trials beta-alanine produced a small overall effect size of 0.18 (95% CI 0.08 to 0.28), largest for exercise capacity tests lasting 0.5 to 10 minutes and when taken alongside sodium bicarbonate. Dose studied: Varied by trial. Chronic intake commonly 3.2 to 6.4 g per day for 4 weeks or longer. Note: The overall effect was small (effect size 0.18) and showed up in efforts of 30 seconds to 10 minutes. - International Society of Sports Nutrition Position Stand: Caffeine and Exercise Performance
Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2021. Caffeine at 3 to 6 mg per kg of body mass gives small to moderate gains in muscular endurance, strength, sprinting, jumping and throwing, with the most consistent moderate to large benefits in aerobic endurance. Dose studied: 3 to 6 mg per kg of body mass, taken about 60 minutes before exercise. Note: Response to caffeine varies from person to person. - Scientific Opinion on the Safety of Caffeine
EFSA Journal, 2015. Single caffeine doses up to 200 mg and habitual intakes up to 400 mg per day raise no safety concern for healthy non-pregnant adults, 200 mg per day for pregnant women, and the evidence is insufficient to set a safe intake for children and adolescents. Note: A safety review, not a study of benefit. - Ergogenic Effects of Betaine Supplementation on Strength and Power Performance
Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2010. After 14 days, betaine raised bench throw power, isometric bench press force, isometric squat force and two of four vertical jump power measures against both placebo and pre-supplement values, with no change in squat jump power or in squat and bench press repetitions. Dose studied: 1.25 g betaine twice daily, 2.5 g per day, in 300 mL sports drink for 14 days. Note: A small study of 12 men with mixed results.
